9kt gold and platinum art deco sapphire and diamond ring

What a gorgeous ring, this antique art deco platinum diamond stunner. The scalloped landscape design is so uniquely referencing the 1920s and we love it. The front is set with a sapphire flanked by 2 diamonds that sparkles happily in their setting. The middle sapphire has a great blue hue and measures about 2.5 mm, approximately 0.1 carat. Each of the diamonds is about 1.4 mm in diameter, which translates to about 0.001 carat each. The detailed hand work and milgrain details on this is mind blowing- tiny details shaped around the stones, the platinum is worked to perfection. The band is 9kt gold and the front is platinum, very typical of 1920s art deco style rings and usually done to make a ring sturdy and strong. It is slightly raised from the finger. The base and band are a smooth, shiny gold. This ring is in stunning condition and has been restored by our jeweler to last another lifetime. Hallmarked for 9kt gold and platinum, and our informed guess is that this was made in the 20s in the UK, where it was curated.
