Antique 15kt gold amethyst and pearl scrolling and engraved ring
This stunning genuine antique ring has details for days. The ring has four oval amethyst and six tiny round cabochon pearls all set in an insanely detailed 15kt solid gold band. The scrolling setting of the stones gives this ring a typical English antique vibe and has been restored by our jeweler to last another lifetime. The two middle amethysts are set upright and measures about 5 mm x 3.5 mm. The two amethysts on the end are set in a landscape setting and measure about 4.5 mm x 3 mm each. The tiny pearls are about 2 mm in diameter and set off beautifully against the purple pink of the amethysts with their pillowy soft shade. The faceted cut of the amethysts make them sparkle and shine bright. In between the stones is the scrolled design, on the base of the setting are detailed engravings that go all around the ring. Even the back is closed, details that are just indicative of the work that went into this piece. This is clearly a very old, handmade beauty that will need to be taken care of for it to keep shining bright. Hallmarked for 15kt gold and made in Birmingham after 1877, making it a genuine antique at 146 (!!) years old.
This ring will be hard to be resized due to its age and the pearl. Please note these are soft stones and an antique ring. Therefor, we always recommend taking extra care when wearing this type of stone when performing physical activities to enjoy it as long as possible.
