Unique 18kt gold scarab with turquoise

For a gorgeous antique like this, you can always get us excited. And this is something unique and different that we don't find everyday: a little gold scarab set with turquoise, all enveloped in 18kt gold.

The scarab is set with a total of two turquoise cabochons, in a perfectly formed scarab design. It has some space around the edges where the stones are set and glued into the gold back of the scarab. The scarab sits a bit higher off the finger, giving it the coolest look, but it is still wearable. On each of its sides is a detailed lotus leaf, leading into the smooth gold band.

This is an Egyptian revival piece, a period in which due to discoveries and excavations in Egypt, a lot of ancient Egypt-inspired jewelry was made. The scarab is a symbolization of the Sun God Ra- pushing forward the sun in the morning to bring another day. The cycle of life and death - ah yes, profound little symbolic scarab.
