18kt gold and platinum art deco oval ruby and diamond antique ring

What a gorgeous luxurious ring, this antique art deco platinum diamond stunner. The round, slightly domed-shaped front is set with a diamond that sparkles happily in its setting. The detailed hand work on this is mind blowing- tiny and star shaped around the whole diamond, the platinum is worked to perfection. The band is 18kt gold and the front is platinum, veey typical of 1920s art deco style rings and usually done to make a ring sturdy and strong. It is slightly raised from the finger. The diamond is a round cut, lots of shine and clarity. The base and band are a smooth, shiny gold. This ring is in stunning condition. Hallmarked with an owl for the French assay office, meaning it was imported into France at one time, presumably from the UK.
